Default Radiator for buick 350 ???

I've got the buick 350 in my garage and have all the pieces ready for its install except a radiator. I am sure stock from the 225 is not up to it. What have others done? Recore stock maybe to 4 core? I will probably head to the pick and pull after work this week with a tape measure. Any advice appreciated.

Don't go that route. I did a re-core to four row and couldn't keep the 4.1L Buick V-6 cool that was in it at the time, so it won't work with a V-8.

I'd highly advise the largest two row aluminum cross-flow radiator you can fit and build a full shroud for mechanical puller fan with aux. electrical pusher fan in front.

That said, most people don't go the mechanical route with V-8 conversion and just have large electric fan from Ford Taurus, (pretty sure Crown Victorias have same as Taurus). Do a Google search for more info. If you go this route, then make sure you have the electrical system to keep up with it as initial draw is fairly hefty. I'd think an 85 amp alternator or better would be warranted.

Below are a few pics of radiator and fans with my 383 Chevy.

Also note the last pic shows that the air tunnel has been completely removed from the grill.
