Default Canvas Top for 48 Jeepster

Trying to find a company/individual that can make tops for the 48 jeepster. I do NOT want a vinyl top, non-shrink canvas. There was a collector in MO that did them but I can't find his name, can anybody help?
thanks!!!

Might want to check with Morris Ratner, TheJeepsterman.com in NJ, he'd be the guy to talk to about the 48/51. The guy you're probably thinking of in MO is Mark Vilbert, justjeepsters.com but he's only 67/73 Jeepster and Commando although he might know somebody beside Morris who can help.

Interesting to learn that Haartz made the original canvas top for the Jeepsters. Most of the restored Jeepster's I've come across have had the incorrect vinyl top. Until recently, vinyl must have been the only game in town.

Another interesting item on eBay that I couldn't help but notice. This has got to be the most accurate and best detailed scale model of a '49-51 Jeepster I've ever seen. Sorry I missed it.

1/43 U.S. MODEL MINT #5 1949 WILLYS OVERLAND JEEPSTER - eBay (item 160365653773 end time Sep-28-09 14:03:26 PDT)

Very cool... Iv always liked the looks of the 48 & 49 Jeepsters.. Though the years Ive seen a few nice ones,, But the flat head is not my game ,, I love the look but I have to have a v8.. Iv been collecting parts like the front clip off a 46 Willys pickup along with the rear fenders.. And Im planing on using a 71 Jeepster as my base (dana44 & dana30 diff's) & dropping in a AMC 360 & make a copy cat (or as I call it a want-a-be) of a 48-49 Jeepster.. Gotta look stock.. Id never take a real one & make a rod out of her, not that many left..

Sadly Morris Ratner aka The Jeepsterman passed away last week.

I'm not sure if Beachwood(?)makes what you're wanting, but they are a source for military canvas stuff. Sorry I don't have a link...
As for Morris, I am sure going to miss that grumpy old guy. Rough as a cob, but with a heart of gold.
