Hey all. I have the motor and all between the frame rails and was wondering if anybody had found some headers that went outside of the frame rails. I know i can make it work with the factory ram horns but it seems that it would free up some space to move the exhaust out. Thanks for any help.

If you do go under the frame outboard, make sure you have a skid plate under the pipe and muffler that resides below the frame. Those that don't eventually wind up crushing the pipe which could have dire consequences. I used the ramhorns and stayed inside the frame on mine.
Thanks for the replys guys. Wel looks like i may go with cj6 fenderwell headers from advanced adapters. I hope they do not hang too low. I too was going to stay with the ramhorns but noticed that it takes up alot of room and did not want the y pipe hanging beloe the tranny. Thanks again guys.

Mine hangs down just slightly below the trans, but is shielded by skid plate. The Flowmaster Y pipe is mounted vertically just inside the frame in line with the body mount.
Looks good. what did you end doing with the steering? I have worked in a hot rod shop and understand moving the steering but didnt like any of the angle or placement of the added ujoints.
Thanks for the info

From the steering box, there's a slip shaft with u-joint connecting to solid double-d shaft that goes thru a carrier bearing mounted on the frame connecting to u-joint and the steering column. Can just barely make out the u-joint to column connection under the brake booster in the last pic.
