Default Best way to lift 70?

This is my first post and first Jeepster (1970), motor is done and ready to start, asside from paint my biggest challange is getting a bit more lift from the old (thin) springs. I would rather stay away for SOA as it will be an "in town" driver and hear SOA can cause issues with stability.

So share any and all advice please, what is the best, and least costly way to lift a 1970 Jeepster Commando 2-3 inches?

SOA done right is still a good suspension setup but does require alot of work. There is a company now that offers suspension lifts. Hell Creek Suspensions, Inc.
There have only been a couple people that i know of that have used them but the product looks good and hopefully somebody that has used them will chime in with there .02 cents. Welcome to the board and the Jeepster life.

I just installed the Hell Creek lift kit two weeks ago. Pretty easy to install, hardest part is getting the old stuff out.

A few places sell headers for the 225, I think around $300 Most of them are fenderwells and will put the exhaust system between the frame and rocker panels.

I got a 4in lift and a stabilizer on its way from HC for my 69 commando should be here this tuesday. one the bros (the tech guy) seemed really nice and helpful. the other brother seemed not so nice... not bad... just a businessmen without "great" customer service.

I asked for some freebies (shirt, hat, stickers) since i spent about $750 before shipping... we'll see if they take advantage of my offer to promote there product (which they should be proud of). If the product is as the others say... i will be promoting it happily and feircely.
