Default flywheel woahs... woes? wuws?

so i did the basterdization swap and have a 350 buick motor tucked carfully under where the hood would be on my commando...

so my question is, can i use my 225's manual shift flywheel on this motor? (i know it will bolt to it)

or is there a counter balancing issue to deal with? i really would like to keep it standard shift and i do understand the t14 wont last long behind such a monster as i have.

the motor is a 68 gs 10:1 comp 350(or so im told) if that helps you guys out...
thanks guys

I believe you have to get it rebalanced for the 350, but don't quote me on that.

I ran an odd fire flywheel behind an even fire 231 for many years.
I had to re-balance the flywheel to match the 231. I used my 231 flex plate for refrence when I took the fly wheel down to the machine shop for balancing.
The T-14 will not last long behind that engine if you drive like I do!
I would start looking for another tranny(T-18, 420 or 465) and t-case or go auto with a turbo 400.

I like My T-18 very much but sometimes I wish I was running an auto instead.
Good luck with the project.

You won't need to take the engine in to get balanced.
Take the automatic flywheel/flex plate and the odd fire flywheel to the machine shop to balance the odd fire flywheel equal to the 350 flywheel/flex plate. You may have to call around to confirm that the shop can do the job.
I had one shop that was local to me that was able to do the work.

You should not have a problem finding a flywheel for that engine though.

Otherwise, you would have to rebalance the oddfire flywheel.

you can look for a 231 evenfire flywheel, I belive they are the same for the V8 as well.
