Default Gasket Between Door Hinges and Body

While my 1968 Jeepster was at the body shop for paint, they removed the doors and hinges.

I started to reassemble the door hinges on the door jamb and noticed that on one side I had a set of thin mettle plates stuck to the jamb and the other side did not have a set. I assume both sides had those thin mettle plates but the body shop lost or didn't notice them.

Was there a set of thin mettle plates between the hinges and the door as well?

Anyone have a set of these plates?

Thanks.

Duane

Those are shims to make the doors close right. Depending on the Jeepster, there may be plates on one or both hinges and/or the striker plates where the door latch hits. You only need them if your doors aren't closing easily (and that might not be the right spot for the shims). The factory service manual should give a full description on how to make the adjustments.
