Default Thinking of buying a 67 commando

I am new to jeepsters, I have been looking for a CJ5 or CJ7 for a long time. I just ran across a 67 commando and I kind of like it. What should I look out for and look for? Its a little rusty but no major cancer. It is rusting from the mounts that hold the top on. It runs ok and the price seems about right. Your thoughts are very welcome!

If it has carpet, pull it up around the drivers and passenger floors and look for rust, you can also see that from under the car. Bottom of tailgate usually rusts out as well. I'll assume it has a V-6 since thats the popular combo....and a good motor, you could do a compression check to check out the motor. Try out the 4wd transfer case hi and low, to make sure it works. Switches and gauges seem to be a problem for most people to keep working, but we can help you with that. I usually look for stuff that maybe a previous owner had installed or removed so that it doesn't look factory any longer, like adding gauges, because the originals they couldn't fix. Cutting out the rear wheel wells is common too. Other than that, look at it like you would a cj or anything else thats 41 years old. Good luck
