The Dana 44 I have was custom built 20+ years ago for my 1974 Mazda pickup. It was set-up for 1.75" wide springs, with a 27.5" center just like most Jeeps. It is drilled and taped for high steer, has 4:88's and a Tru-Trac. It may bolt right in the way it is. Hopefully with the right off-set rims and the 2" flares I have, it will not be too wide. If not I will have to narrow it some to fit. First things first, tear down the truck, take the axle to the local shop and make sure everything will match my 2.0" springs, have it inspected for proper caster, etc.. and get it in to find out just what kind of adjustments will have to be made if any at all. I may even have them narrow it to 57.0" WMS while it is out. I still have the Dana 30 and can always weld on new perches for it if need be. Thanks for the input, I believe I am on the right track.

The rest is stock!!!
And here's with 12.50 wide tires. Rear axle is 60" wide. Flares are 7" wide.
Well this is my first Post and I am nervous...
That is a great looking Jeepster, and I love how it looks with those fender flares compared to many other style flares. I prefer the look of none, but I know that the Law does not! What is the brand and model for those, they look like the TJ style flares, but line up really good to the CJ fender so I guess they are for the CJ.

They are Warn Trail Flares, Warn Industries - WARN® Trail Flares. You have a good eye. They are indeed TJ flares and the reason they fit so good is from extensive body work in the front. The fender is the stock Jeepster fender. It is similiar to a CJ fender, but it does have more sheet metal to it. The reason I chose TJ flares over the CJ or YJ flares was that prior to '71, (mine is a '66), Jeepsters and CJ's had no running lights in the fenders. All CJ & YJ fender flares have a cutout on top to accomodate the later model fenders and wouldn't look good, (my opinion), on the older fenders, so I chose the TJ with the light in the flare.

Thank you, what was funny was that I was sitting here looking at the fenders and could not figure out why the fenders themselves looked different. You did a great job of making that look good. I have personally have been planning and trying to figure out what I want to do with a Jeepster, and always wanted to do what looks to be what you are doing. I want to make it have that looks and newer styling of the TJ and make it a great trail Jeep, but also a looker too. It seems that you have done that! On the other hand I am waiting to start my project until I have the financial ability (AKA Wife's OK).
I really like the looks of the TJ mirrors to.
Well back to the regularly scheduled thread. sorry to Hijack it on my first posts.
