Talking No doors!

Finally got the pins out of the door hinges... What a nightmare that was. But so worth the effort! Feels more like riding a motorcycle than driving (except for the complete lack of acceleration). I figure I'll fab up some mirror brackets that will slide into the hinge brackets just to keep it legal. After that I'm thinking about getting a second set of doors that I can cut down for a more finished look. Has anyone tried it? If you have let's see some pictures of those finished doors.

You could try a pair of tube doors from Trailforge: Trail Forge, Inc.

I have them and they are great.

Another way is to send your hinges to Jeepdog and have new removable pins installed.

LaMonster: I finally gave up and took them to a machine shop. The first machine shop gave up and I took them to a second machine shop. Second machine shop got them out but was not happy with the hours they spent (lost) on the job. If I had to do it over I'd send them to Jeepdog.

Trickpatrick: You have mail

Still hoping someone has pictures of modified/cut-down doors. I like the tube doors but I don't think they'd look right on mine.

Unless he changed how to remove the pins, he simply used a vice, a punch, a hammer, and at times some heat.
