Jim, The site tim posted above is not the same campground as we had last year - or I don't think it is.
Osprey Point RV Resort
1505 North Lake Road
Lakeside, OR 97449
Phone: (541)759-2801
Is the correct resort?

Thanks Jim, It looks like I am already reserved into space I5. I needed the longer pull through site for the Truck and Camper and Jeepster combination. I am looking forward to the run.

Dennis:
While I do suffer from C.R.S., (can't remember s##t), and also have T.B.F., (terminal brain farts), I did make reservations at the place I listed, (Osprey Point RV Resort in Lakeside, Oregon), and they had my info on file from last year. I'm pretty sure I remember burning a few brain cells at the Pub 'n Pizza shown on the link page I posted, but maybe I just hallucinated and was caught in a worm hole or something. Weren't you there too?

Okay, but you better plug your ears or you'll be damaged for life!

Yes Tim I was there last year - It just looks different? Anyway my wife made the reservation so how the heck should I remember those details. We will be back again - and God willing the jeepster will be there. But based on my week I may shoot it first.
I went to do something simple like change the water pump - broke the studs of in the timming cover. Pulled the timming cover to fix the bolts then thought what the heck I may as well pull the pan and clean it out. While I was doing that I thought new Valve cover gaskets may be nice so "I pull the VC covers and thought may as well clean all this carbon out ouf the rocker assembly - pulled the rocker assembly and pushrods. When I pulled out the push rods two lifters came out with it and dropped into the valley - now I am pulling the intake - so I think while its all apart it would be nice to clean up the rest of the block - particularily those rusty exhaust manifolds - of course I broke two bolts off in the block in the process. So now I sit with a block that has every part short of the heads off in a pile and two exhaust studs broke off in one of the heads - I need a blind die to tap them out - so should I pull the heads and do a valve job with new guide seals while I am at it? Dang this has been an expensive week - and to think I told the wife I was just going to change the water pump.

Don't shoot it, beat it into submission. After seeing your Flattie, I've no doubt it'll be in tip-top condition for the Dunes meet.

So I thought I was rounding the corner on this jeepster - I have all the gaskets to put it back together. The fuel pump centric that mounts on the front of the cam is bad, gouged a 1/2 deep on the cam. Now here is an interesting part to find a replacement. GM dealer is getting one shipped in from discontiued stock from a 231. I am hoping it is a match for a 225. I should have just done the 4.3 conversion on this jeep as well.
At this point the body looks like it has been beaten into submission - thus this is the beater jeepster. I may add a few more dents at the rubicon this year.
