| | Re: Jeepster Event of the Summer! (read and respond) Chris, Jim, RQ, Drayson, and company,
This sounds like a great idea. The distance is more than I am willing to tow a Jeepster (I hate driving). But, I will still support it from a far and donate to the effort. I wonder how many other people will actually go when the time comes. Are there any plans for something more central that will make the drive better for all? I really like this get everybody together idea. Also, I would consider flying to the event, however this would mean - no Jeepster. I also think Jim's "have it and they will come" is a good idea. You may not get a large far away crowd, but you still would get a good one. The politics I am not real aware of how it all works, but I do know that people can work together if they want to. I also have seen all the work dumped on a few when these events are held - I have probably been one of the dumpers. I have also seen some really good planners that are very passionate about these events. They take time to make sure everyone has a great experience - even the younger kids. These same folks deserve commitment, appreciation, and most of all - HELP. We owe these people more than just a thanks... |

| | Re: Jeepster Event of the Summer! (read and respo I think you mean Hot Springs, AR (Arkansas) not Hot Springs, AK (Alaska). If you already have AK on the AJC website you might want to change it. Someone would be really pi$$ed off if they went to Alaska. |

| | Re: Jeepster Event of the Summer! (read and respond) Hey all,
I'm glad to hear it that things are mending. I also have stayed out of this and inactive in the club because of it. I would like to attend the event too this year(if I'm in the country....as usual)...time to start wrenching on the Jeepster then. :-) |

| | I would love to attend any get togethers on the west coast this year. The last year was a rough one and the Jeepster sat untouched, but I have finally gotten it ready for action again, and I hope to see some of you that I haven't seen in a long time and finally meet the rest.

| | AUGUST 3-5...MARK YOUR CALENDARS!! I'm at a new Job...but the time off won't be an issue for me.
I will have a list of local hotels and RV/Camping spots shortly. We will be running trails on Friday and Saturday, consisting of easy and moderate/difficult terrain. Many of the trails will have easy acees for the stock Jeepsters to get a front row view of some of the more "technical" sections.
I am still in negotiations with the RV park for a cookout on Friday night and possibly saturday night, as well as a local brakfast joint to use their banquest facility for a Saturday morning breakfast. |

| | Hey Chris,
I was wondering when you were going to change the picture of your son. I figured he must have grown, but I think I should tell you that you may need to talk with Alanna. He looks an awful lot like Rob Schneider. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
