Jim,I would have to say that Swamp Lake is my favorite trail. There is great fishing at Swamp and it is a beautiful lake. There is a Tungsten mining town and several mines along the trail to explore. It is plenty challenging, yet makes for a great weekend trip.

Dusy/Ershum and the Rubicon rate at #2 and #3.

Mine would have to be Rubicon and Moab, although I havn't got to do Swamp Lake.
The Hammers in California is also up there, no scenery, just hard core stuff.

Death Valley and Joshua Tree in April.
There's a ton of volcanic Jeep trails all over Eagle Lake, in Northern California, that are pretty fun. Not to mention the famous Eagle Lake Trout! All of this is mostly for scenery. There's some light technical stuff. I believe most everything is easy enough so you could go alone as long as you had some recovery gear.

How about a AJC event in Death Valley in 2009. 160 year anniversary of the Manley party being stranded in the "Valley of Death" as they called it.

Mine would be the Superlift Offroad Park in Hot Springs Arkansas. 5 different trails with different levels of difficulty. 1 and 2 are pretty good for a family outing. 3 is starting to get pretty technical. 4 and 5 i haven't seen much of but from what i have seen you can't be worried about cosmetic damage to your ride. 3 through 5 takes some skill and easy hands and watching what your doing. The first two are more for novice drivers. They also have campgrounds and trails for motorcycles and fourwheelers. They even hold some events there also. The Arkansas Rock Climbers go there alot on trails 4 and 5. Really alot of fun with a few people and their rides to go with you.

My back yard.

I live by the Arkansas River north of Wichita. Sand, Mud, some hills. Sure there are lots of areas that are more fun but this has a short walk if I break down.

My favorite would have to be Fordyce, in spring with the river raging coming over my lap and pushing me down stream
Moab would have to come in second, definately some pucker factor there as well.

I never seem to get any pictures on Fordyce, but here's one in Moab on Hells Revenge.
