Default An oil pressure line question??? How odd

I'm in the process of hooking up the oil pressure gauge and thot I'd check to see if anyone(s) has a cool way to run the oil line from the block to the firewall. At the moment I'm leaning towards over the top of the block, around the carb, just missing the throttle linkage, and through an existing hole. But my less is more philosophy would like something better. Any suggestions??

Yeah,
Run an electronic guage so you don't have the possibility of a leaking oil line from block to guage.

I wish I could. I put three 1 1/2 inch gauges in the small hole where the heater control/lights etc. used to be. I have not found any electrical gauges in the small size. If anyone has let me know

I did a search but didn't find one at Summit Racing I would call them and see if a phone tech can help you find it.

1-1/2" electric guages do exist, just don't know where. I kept the tube on mine, ran it up by the alternator wiring and through the harness, through the firewall with the harness, and to the gauge. Basically straight down the top of the engine on the passenger side of the carb. My gauge's in the middle, too.

Steve.

I really don't like electronic oil pressure gauges. They are too sparatic. Just get some good line or even copper line, and check your oil (which you should do often because face it, it is a jeep afterall).

I'm not worried about the line breaking, altho I always wear white socks so I know what's going on under the dash. The line is in and should work fine I just thot I'd check to see if there was a better idea out there for placement. Spent all day hand wiring it. Good news is that everything from the steering wheel forward works fine. Bad news the yellow wire back to the left turn signal has a short in it. Ah the smell of melting wire on a warm summer day. Good thing I didn't have a fuse on the line it might have blown!! Now I have to decide if it really is possible to replace the existing wire harness to the back (yes I know some of you have done it) or just run a line under the tub along the rail and be done. I'll need power for the fuel pump so maybe under the tub is the way to go.

Ya know even the worst day working on your Jeep is better than an average day at work
