Buick 350 to 455 swap

I am installing a Buick 455 in place of a Buick 350. It appears that the adapter plate that worked with the 350 will not fit the 455. It seems I will need to swap to the flexplate and starter that was on the 350. It looks to be smaller so the adapter will fit over it. Any one have any experience with this? Also, the motor mounts that I purchased for the 350 look like they can be modified to work on the 455. Welding a plate, drilling new holes etc. Any suggestions on this? Thanks in advance.
