Why is Montana 2nd highest gas price?

What a joke the gas prices are! While most of you guys are enjoying $2.70 or so gas prices we have to pay $2.99! I never thought with three refineries within spitting distance and Wyoming oil going for $30 a barrel we would be second highest priced nationally (Hawaii is 1st). What a pile of crap!
I know it's a sore subject for many but our gas was never higher than Calafornia or Washington and now...

I'd be happier with that price than what I'm paying in the Bay Area. And I have to put in Premium in my truck when I tow, so last weeks' event in Reno was expensive at $3.35/gal.

The nozzle had 8 drops left over from the last guy - I shook it into the tank, I saved 80 cents!

Today I paid $2.88 in Carbon County Wyoming. A while back Wyoming had among the cheapest prices in the country. But now......
My son in St. Louis was paying somewhere between $2.40 and $2.60.

2.57 here, and steadily dropping 3-4 cents every 2-3 days for the last 2 weeks.

It's right at $3.00 here in Colorado too, at least where I am north of Denver. Mid-grade.
