Default Fuel injected or carb.-ed? I\'m not sure
I just bought a 1988 Jeep Wrangler YJ (replaced my '95 YJ). My '95 was fuel injected with a throtle body. I was always under the understanding that pre '91's were carbed, but this '88 has a air filter box almost like it is a fuel injected.???? I dont understand! It doesn't look like a throtle body on this '88 but it doesn't look like a carb either! I have looked everywhere I could find any information and well haven't found anything helpfu. What is this motor?

It is carburated.90 or 91 was the first year for FI.
