Default 65 JEEPSTER

IS THERE SUCHA THING....YES I JUST BOUGHT ONE BUT I CANT FIND ANY INFO ON IT...IT DOESNT REALLY MATTER CAUSE I JUST PUT THE 65 BODY ON MY 72 FRAME AND ITS LOOKIN GOOD..BUT DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY INFO..ITS A MODEL 870...THANKS

Post the Vin # here and we'll run it for you...Look on the body/firewall/door frame, etc. With a "'65", it's liable to be just about anywhere. As for the 870, we all could use another pump shotgun.

Welcome, The Jeepster Commando model years were 66-71. Probably a 66 titled in 65.

Pretty sure that '67 was the first year for the Jeepster Commando and all '66's were really '67's registered in '66 as the next year's models showed up at the dealers around September of previous year.

With that said, I'd guess that someone at DMV along the way made a typo and put '65 instead of '66 or '67.

The late 40's and early 50's Jeepster was a 2wd. They started back up in 66 or 67 with the 4wd Jeepster.

Yes, the DMV has screwed up with a few of my Jeepsters, calling my 1/2 cab a 68 Willys MP, but with the correct vin. What's an MP anyway?
