hub caps?

Heres a question I hope you can help me with... I want to get a set of front dog dish type hubcaps ( the ones with the centers cut out) for my stock jeepster commando rims, but I was told that the cut out version may not have existed in the size I need.
I have the older Kaiser gold and red dish caps, not the later AMC blue and white caps. I've been told that the older gold and red caps are larger (they measure 10 3/8" on the inside) than the white/blue caps, and that the cut out front style caps were only available in the smaller size to match the blue hubcaps. Is this true? Should I give up on my quest for a set of cutout hubcaps and just hand cut a set of full gold and red caps?

I had the red and gold cut out on the front, blue and white on the back the rest were in the commando. when I bought it.

I also have the red and gold kaiser hubcaps. On mine the front cap appears to have been cut out, " carefully" by hand. Then there is a sort of large 1/4" thick o-ring that covers up the space between the hub and the cut out on the cap.
