Default IMO very close?

I got a little crazy the other day, and painted the engine.

The color may not be perfect, but I think it's very close.

My camera's not the best in the world, but with the naked eye it looks much better than I thought it would.

When people look at the engine now, they say, "Wow, that's nice!"

Anyway the paint was very easy to find, at Advance Auto.

Dupli-Color makes it, and it's called "Alpine Green Pearl!"
part# DSCC 399, the strange thing is it's a listed as a Daimler-Chrysler color.

It only came in small cans, the counter person said, maybe because, it was probably considered a import color! , "right" I thought!?

If you noticed my bad over spray, well I liked the looks of it so much, I almost sprayed everything in sight. I wasn't able to get a picture of the newly painted cat!

Forgive me, I still can't post these pictures in the post?

No, engine was in, but I did remove as much as I could before spraying.

I do hope to go back, tidy up some pulleys, and etc. with a little black paint.

Thank you, for the kind words.

Looks Excellent Timber!! Man, when I went to paint mine, I saw that Dupli-color at the parts store, but didn't have anything with me to compare it too from my motor, and because it said it was a DC color, I didn't buy it. So I bought a Dupli-color that said " GM Blue " and after squirting it on, it almost looked Ford blue....embarrasing! Anyway, next time I have it all apart, I am going with the Alpine! Hey, is that a 90 degree vacuum hose coming of your vacuum advance? Where'd you get that!

Thank you splat55, glad you like it.

Yes, that is a 90 degree elbow on the vacuum advance hose.

I'm pretty sure I picked it at the local Advance Auto, if I remember right, they had a pretty good assortment of vacuum fittings, and such.
