Default Dauntless V6 225 Timing Degree?

When time allows this weekend, I plan on checking my timing with my handy-dandy strobe light.

Does anyone know what the correct timing degree is for the Buick Dauntless V6 225 engine? I have looked through all the parts books and, believe it or not, the original maintenance book that came with the car and can not locate it anywhere.

Your help is much appreciated.

Yep, 5 degrees BTDC.

You should think about a service manual, they are available on CD, reprints and some originals. Search e-Bay. It has everything (well almost anyway) you need to build a jeepster over from the ground up. I would be lost without mine.

Brad.
