I think it would be very cool to see done. I have seen a few earlier 2WD Willys Jeepsters done up "hot rod style" and they were pretty neat. I think the chopped top looks really cool sitting low with a little rake to it. Oh great, now I want to start another project.

Put me down for loving your idea. I want to hot rod one, just not my current one. My next one.

And I vote for low. The rest of us HAVE to have ours high.

Since we're both on the west coast, I look forward to seeing it!

Well it's good to see someone else doing this type of thing to a Jeepster. I've been working on mine for about a year so far on a fixed budget, and boy do these kind look sweet. I'm a true old school hot rod person that fell into the world of Jeepsters by accident really, and custom ones like this draw a ton of attention. I've considered suiciding the doors before but never chopping the top...You think you'll have enough room? I'll post the pictures of mine as soon as I finish one more thing. But yeah, so go for it, it'll be nice to see something like this. If you were going to do the gasser style, go all out with the solid chrome front axle and white wall slicks.

Concerning rear wheel wells, take a peak at what
I did. Sectioned out several inches, then stuck it back on.
