Default rear spring lengths

I have a 69 jeepster with the mono leaf rear spring. Are the springs on a 69 interchangeable with springs from a 73?
I would like to replace the mono spring with a multi pac spring set up. I could use the extra support from multiple (HD) springs.
Thanks

Have you found any other vehicles that can work?
I was out at the junk yard talking to my friend about just getting some main leaf to add to my mono's, I noticed he had several late model Cherokees. are they close? Somehow I have to help my suppension.

I believe the late model Chero leafs are roughly 3" shy.

Steve I have a set of rear springs out of my Jeepster you can have if you want to come get them. I'm in Nashville, TN. They aren't perfect but they can be used. The center tie bolt is broken in one but all the leaf's are there. And the rear shackles are stuck in the bushings in the spring eye. I have no use for them I went to YJ springs with custom spring mounts.

YJ is a (YJ) Wrangler 1987 to 1995 the 1997 to present is a TJ Wrangler. There was no 1996 model produced by Jeep.

I had to fabricate new rear mounts 10" in front of the rear crossmember. They are similar to making mounts to move the front springs outboard of the frame. I haven't completed me jeepster yet so I just hope it work as well as I think. I used 2-1/2" YJ lift springs with a spring over.

Carey,
How much do you anticipate them flattening once the engine/tranny/TC are installed? I was thinking of going with some 1"-2" YJ leafs, but good grief! I don't have 38"s to clear!

Dave, that pic is with 36's I designed and set it up to clear 38's that's why it looks like so much clearance. 38's is the average my club runs. The rear springs are YJ Rancho 2-1/2" 4 leaf lift springs. The front springs are stock YJ 4 leaf with a CJ 2-1/2" add-a-leaf for a total of 5 leafs. I do expect some flattening out but I believe they will still have adequate clearance for the 36's. The rear probably will not drop a whole lot. I have all the spare parts stored inside the body I even had a D44 front housing, two hoods, two fender, two grills, two radiators and a lot of extra steel stored inside the tub with no effect on the height. It barely moved with all 240 lbs I had, I'm down to 208 now, on the front end. If I had not done the shackle reversal I would not have to put the Hi-Steer on it. I hope to have the drive train in by the end of March, if the weather will ever break, then I can see how it effects the clearance.
