Default Tom Clark - Baja Info

Tom (or anyone else for that matter), what were the titles of the books that you had emailed me a while back that you considered the most informative re: Baja? I'm away from home right now so I can't check back in my old emails.

A really cool one of a man who walked the entire circumference of the peninsula is 'into a desert place' By Graham Mccantosh. That last name might be incorrect.
Also 'The Magnificent Peninsula' by Williams has a lot of interesting stories and maps and off road trails.
'The Baja Catch' if you're into fishing is 'reel' good

Graham whatsisname just put out a new book. Most these books can be ordered and some had at Borders and the likes. All can be ordered out of the 'Baja Bookshelf'
Let me know if you want to borrow any.
Have a trip planned?

Thanks for the link and the info. The spelling is: Graham Mackintosh

I've been planning a trip there for the last ten years. I'm hoping to finally make it in the next two or three. I'm sure I'll be bugging you for more info in the future.

Thanks again!

Joel
A very good friend of mine wrote 2 books regarding fishing Baja. His books are still considered the best regarding fishing. Even the fishing fleets would follow him around lol. I don't recall the name of the 2 books but his name is Neil Kelly. We would catch our limits every time we went out.

I have two buddies (brothers) that go to Baja regularly with their friends. One used to stay for an entire month. They surf and windsurf down there. You could call them if you want. They love to talk "Baja."

I've been a "guest" in the Santa Rosalia Jail.... trust me.... you don't want to go there. South of Mulege there is a hot spring right on the edge of the Sea of Cortez. When the tide is up it is under the Sea, tide down it's hot liquid heaven.... when you get too hot "taking the waters" you can belly over the edge into the sea and cool down. One of the coolest places I've been. Camped on the beach near the spring... bar-b-qued trigger fish.... drunk on pulque.... what a trip!!!!

Not able to do it this year, but usually I take off the whole month of August and spend it in Baja, just cruising and camping. Some day I'll live there, pobably near Agua Verde, a very cool place on the Sea of Cortez. (my favorite side) Some people think I'm crazy for going back, even after all the 'things' that have happened to me in Mexico, but once you've traveled around (not just T.J. or Ensenada) and see the real Baja, it will call your name forever.

Jim I have some of Neil Kelly and Gene Kira's books. The most popular is "The Baja Catch" a must for any avid fisherperson.
