sheet metal anyone

Well my next assignment for Operation: Chapel Hill Sweetass Jeepster -

Drop a piece of sheetmetal down from my half cab top and into the rear cargo/bed area. Then take out the piece of metal behind the seats that now separates the cab from the bed (which will be for sale if anyone is interested).

My problem is this: Who sells sheet metal?? I've looked at Home Depot, Lowes, Parts America, AutoZone, Northern Tool, etc.

I'm in the Raleigh Durham, NC area, and can go anywhere around Greensboro, Charlotte, Danville, etc. if I have to.
I could use a little help here y'all, thanks.

PS - the cab-extender/bed-shortener was instilled by one GRQster, and will leave me interior (tool) cargo space and a little space for some audio speakers- gotta give credit where credit's due, never was big on plagiarism [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img]

Looking in the Yellow Pages on the web there is East Coast Metal Distrbutor in Durham and East Coast metal distributors Inc. in Raleigh. (sounds like the same outfit). They are probably wholesalers, but might still sell to you, or give you a lead to who they supply.
It looks like there is a lot of metal fab shops in your area. Try some of them. They will probably get what you need, but it will probably be at least 4' X 8', or they might have drops that they would sell. Call around.

If you can't find any locally, I have some for ya but it ain't sheet metal, it's 6 or 8 guge steel panels.

I picked up some 2mm(not sure of gauge) sheetmetal in 4' x 4' sheets for $5 each at D.H. Griffin in Greensboro. They have about 20 acres of scrap everything for cheap.
