| | Apology to Eastern Chapter Hey Folks, I would like to Apologize For a couple of things . The 1st, not showing up for this years Jam. 2nd,not using the Novak certificate I won last year. Both are due to laziness and procrastination on my part.I started taking the Commando apart the week after last years Jam and was planning to use the certificate when I ran across something I needed. I thought I would have the Jeep back together by now but I dont. So far its just a rolling frame and drivetrain. Im not making many modifications and that sorta limits me as far as using the certificate because Novak mostly sells conversion stuff. Anyway, to make a long story short I put the certificate up and had forgotten about it until the week of the Jam. I got it out June 24th with plans to order a transfer case rebuild kit but to my suprise the certificate said VALID UNTIL JUNE 21, 2002.GRQ informed me that Novak was dissapointed that it wasn't used and that they were somewhat hesitant about giving another one this year. I contacted Eric Forsberg (Vice Pres.)at Novak and apologized and explained the situation.I asked him to not take my failure to use the certificate as a lack of appreciation from the AJC. He said he understood and will Honor the Certificate anyway. I think that says a lot for Novak as a company.I feel like I I sorta let the the club down so I would like to make it up by donating the certificate to the Eastern project(Project Doghouse)which seems appropriate since I got myself in the club doghouse on this one.I would also like to thank RQ for his tact in bringing this to my attention. He could have easily blown me out on the bbs but he was considerate enough to E-Mail me and was not rude in any way. That says a lot for the AJC. Nuff said...... |

We missed you at the Jam. We sent the the "Jeepster Police" to get you but they got confused and brought back "olives" so we drank martinis instead in your honor.
See you next year. |

| | Re: Apology to Eastern Chapter Rich,
I would like to thank you for YOUR tact and Novak's support of the AJC!
I put in a Novak adapter for my SM420 tranny and it was one of the few pieces that actually bolted in and worked without problems! |
