Default Safety tip of the day

Solder dripping off the iron onto a bare thigh will blister instantly. When the screaming stops, apply lotion.

Another tip: When welding upside down, try not to wear long sleeve garments with loose cuffs. One spark is almost enough to burn clear through your arm. I still have a pretty good scar from that one.

On a burn like solder, welding etc, apply ice or at least cold water as fast as possible, not greae, butter, lotion etc.
You want to cool it quick - plus it feels better.
Grease will loosen the skin and cause a nice blister.

Got that from a doctor, works.

Learn to dance the easy way - weld with tennis shoes. (My girlfriend was watching me use a cutting torch, she saw me doing the hotfoot.

Another one.
If your soldering iron falls, let it fall, do attempt to catch it! You know when things fall your first reaction (mine anyway) is to catch it. The iron will stick to you flesh until you rip it off! I learned my first soldering safety rule at 7.
