Default Shocks and Alcans, Part Nos?

I just finished putting on my Alcans (3.5 inches) and it's time for shocks. Anyone out there have part numbers for Rancho 5000's or Pro Comp ES 3000's? I am also running a Dynatrac high clearance u-bolt kit in the back, which means a different shock will be needed in the rear due to the mounting bracket being moved to the top of the axle. The front axle still has the stock spring under mounts.

Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff,
You may want to raise your front shock mounts by using some from a later model CJ or Wagoneer. There is also a stock Ford shock mount that you could use. The part # for it could be found on the BBS "search" feature.
Your rear shocks are going to be really short if you actually raised the shock mount on the differential.
The best way to see what shocks to buy is to flex out your Jeepster on an RTI ramp or at least the side of a loading dock. Measure extended travel and compressed lengths. You can use a jack also, but it's better to twist it up if possible.
I've changed out front and rear upper mounts so my shocks would be very different than yours.
Hope this helps.

I need the same info for my 4" Alcans but a ramp or loading dock is out of the question right now since I cant drive it.

Extended shock mounts for the front are ford part # E5tz-18183-A, I too have the dynatrak ubolt flip kit. I angled my shocks in to a piece of DOM tubing welded between the frame rails up high - here's the pic.

I know about the F-250 towers, but probably won't do that until a later date. I wan this thing to run before the summer is over! Anyone have pics of the CJ7 front shock mounts? In the rear, I am planning to cut and reuse the old shockmount/spring plate by bolting and then tack welding it to the top of the u-bolt kit, then maybe bias mounting the shocks. If I do that, I can't angle the shocks inward. Once again, I want this running soon and may go back later for mods.

Jeff
