I can toss in a Man tranny and transfer case, 15" rims(white wagon spoke), and bloody knuckles for 16 or 32 hrs.

Hey guys I talked to the people at the junk yard(salvage yard, they get mad if you call it anything else)They are checking in to whether or not they will sell the whole thing? They have to talk to the boss.

Jeff have you found out about the ones you were looking at?Or any body

I do know where a willy's overland is but.....I don't think we wanna go that route.

Now what is the end product going to be?

Do we want bigger axles like 44's or 60's maybe if we want it to be a serious offroader

Engine size do we want bigger v-8 If so I can get chey 350's all day long

Trans......th400?

transfer case?

S.O.A.....re arched?

Body lift?

Lockers?rear.....front?

Power steering?...just Saginaw?

Upgrade to 11" brakes,disc brakes,power?

Shackle reversal?

That's just a "few" ???
We also need to know who is the best at what Im not that GREAT at any area but I try at every thing!

I like the body seperate from chassey idea. Will a standard trailer with like a 2"ball move this thing safely?

Well I let some one else jump in

Bill,

Are you receiving the group email for the project? If so, I'll shoot one out to you and the rest of the group......I have this idea......it's way out there but if we pull it off it will be beyond anything anyone has seen before!
I see alot of stuff on your list of items that will work for the project.
As far as the vehicles, I'm contacting two places tomorrow. One I'll have to drive out to, he never returned my call....I'll push him! Caver Dave was looking at another one down his way, we're waiting to hear from him too. We may need a parts vehicle if everyone else likes my idea, we'll see!
I also agree, splitting the body from the frame/driveline would probably be best to make sure we get everything done as fast as possible with two groups working on projects at the same time.
Any more Eastern Club members interested???? You don't have to have a place to work on it or the knowledge like some of these aces on this board, just be willing to help out, either by putting in muscle power at one of the project sites or helping to hit vendors up for donations. We can get a list of items needed for the project. There's plenty of stuff that can be done if you only want to put in a few hours, that's fine....whatever amount of time you can donate would be great.

What is the dead line we are going to shoot for?

Here's what I was hoping we could do:
Set up a project webpage on our Eastern Chapter site. Explain our objective in this project and outline our goals to complete on the Jeepster. Have a page that list vendors who donate to the project ( we're non-profit, so they can write it off) and include their website address, phone number, etc...
Also on the site, we'd talk about the raffle tickets ($$ each, where to get them, etc..)
Now keep in mind, anything a club member wants to donate, I still think you can write it off, we'd have to check on that.
And as we progress on the project, we continue to update the site with photos of the work in progress.
This is all just suggestions, like I said before, whatever the group decides as a whole, I'm behind it 100%.
I also would suggest that we split the profit after expenses 75/25. 75 going to our Eastern Chapter and 25% going to our National AJC club, again, this is only a suggestion.

OK y'all have sucked me in. If it gets to that point we'll get down here and paint it in our shop. Maybe I can get Scorpion liner to donate the material to line the inside like mine.

Ok guys- If this is going to be sanctioned by AJC and all is ok by the president,Then I will start.I am moving to a house without a garage. It will probably be 6 mos. before I can get one built. What I have is Project Doghouse.I'll donate the tub- with a new rear cargo area, frame and some misc parts. These do need a new home quickly. Was thinking if Rockrabbit has a place to put them we will load it up.Before it is driveable or towable to the next location, we need the use of a trailer. This way we can pile the parts on.What about a year from now at the next eastern jam as a deadline????

BTW- it,s a Jeepster model. This was originally donated to be by Richard Olive-dejavu72-
