Ok, how do you hotwire a jeep? Other than the power and starter wire, which two wires do you connect? Basically what I need to know is how to keep the ignition in the on position whithout the key. Thanks. |

get a schematic for the jeep (like in a haynes manual) then reach up under the dash and unplug the two plugs that mount to the side of the steering column and wire up some switches and go jeep the first 4 wheel drive the only 4 wheel drive |

I kind of need to know how to do it from under the hood. How would I do it from a starter solenoid? |

if youve got a locked steering wheel it wont do you any good. 2 sides of the solenoid, each has large and small wires. run a wire from +Bat to the second largest red wire on the solenoid. ( the side not connected to the battery) then jump the 2 large bolts with a screwdriver ( this will turn teh starter) be careful, have a fire extinguisher handy and you should no that a shorted battery can/might explode in your face peppering you with acid. Make sure its in Nuetral OzarkJeep "Bare foot girls, dancing in the moon light..." |

On my Jeep, I can jump the starter solenoid by using a screwdriver from the battery post on the solenoid to the small post on top next to it. Mark 83 CJ-7 and 76 CJ-7 with stuff |

Mine won't start without the key, but you can pull the key out with it running and the steering wheel lock only works about 50% of the time -Derek Schwab '97 Sidekick Sport '83 CJ-7 |
