Default dana 20 shift pattern

I'm finally at the point where I may be able to drive my Jeep out of the garage instead of pushing it. Can someone please tell me what the shift pattern is for the transfer case shifter? I don't have a knob on the shifter and I'm not familiar with a dana 20.
Thank you

4WDH |
2WDH |
N |
4WDL |

And on mine if you get it in just the right spot between N and 4WDL you get 2WDL. Thought my case was broken at first, but the shifter rail needed a little adjustment.

depending on what your Dana20 is out of it may have another pattern. I got a T-18A out of a J-Truck with a Dana20 attached when i bought it and it has a U shaped shift pattern. I decided to stick with the U shape for a more positive engagement (I HOPE)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Dana 300 replace the Dana 20 in 1980? You indicate you have a '81. Did you swap the 300 for a 20?

I did swap the 300 for the 20. ONLY because I replaced the original 2.5L for a 258 and I got the whole eng/trans/transfer case really cheap. Just wanted to get something in and running. It will find it's way back in... when the wife's not looking!!!!!
Thanks
