Finally back in a CJ!

After I sold my 78 CJ7 in 04 I purchased a Rubicon Unlimited. Well, I sold that just last week and bought this almost perfect 79 CJ7.

I had never bought something sight unseen but I went in feet first and had it shipped from California to Florida!

Anxious to get started on the full restoration!

I have the seats, dash basically all the interior out.

Not a single rusted or broken bolt. All body bolts out with no issues.

I have never seen a 40 year old Jeep in such great condition.

Welcome! That looks like a great find. Looks like a V8 and T18. A buddy had one like that years ago. I think it was a '79 Golden Eagle. There probably aren't many more good CJs in Florida than in the midwest. What all do you need to do to it?

I also have a 79 Golden Eagle with V8 but it had a TH400 stock. It now has a 700r4 but the original 304 block is back in it. I drove it to work twice last week and yesterday and around town today.

Hey, that's terrific, Will. I took my Jeep to Van Buren last month, but didn't get to go play with it - had The Boss and another couple along.

I still haven't gotten the front pinion bearings replaced so still no front driveshaft.

A good start. Keep going, and good luck to you.
