Default For Sale / Wanted Thread

Hey Jim,

How about setting the For Sale / Wanted Thread to purge anything older than oh say 30 days? If that is too short maybe 60 or 90?

Kinda hard to sell a motor coach when it's at the bottom of the second page.

And if I'm selling a widget, the post gets booted, just let me repost my widget.

I'm just thinking here....

That's a good idea, but I don't know how to set that up. Maybe I'll just go in and manually delete the old stuff. Dirt Dog was supposed to take care of that, but he's fallen off the face of the earth.

EDIT: Holy moly! The oldest was from September of '09! I guess it's been that long since Dave did his job.

Hope that DirtDog is alive, well and rolling in clover. He has been around well past 2009, but not lately.

OK, as a moderator you may well not be able to do that. There must be an admin around somewhere? Wouldn't be 5 minutes time for someone with admin rights on this overgrown collection of forums. It is a pretty basic function and built into it.

Yes I have built stuff like this and it is not all that complicated to manage. The crazy size of this set of forums is a bit scary but it's still the same.

Dirt Dog may have just deleted the thread and re-posted. I sent a message to admin. If nothing happens soon I'll start over with it.

And your fingers still work.

Good to see you drop in (not that I do all that often).
