Default 258 6 cylinder

I have a 78 jeep cj5 with a 258,it has blow by(not much smoke but it is blowing oil out of the dipstick tube)I have to put a quart in about every hundred miles,is there an easy fix for this?

It could be that the PCV valve is plugged. That would cause the blowby to push oil out anywhere it can. If the valve rattles, it's probably good, but it won't hurt to replace it anyway; they're only a few bucks.

Also try Restore for oil blow by. It worked for me on 2 258s

Thanks I swapped the pcv valve and it is down to about a quart every 3-4 hundred miles now

Good! A quart in 400 isn't bad for a high-mileage 258. You'll probably have to do at least a minor rebuild to improve that.
