Default Kia axle

A buddy brought a pair of Kia Sorrento axle shafts over to have the bearings replaced - BIG double row tapered roller bearings. They make D44 bearings look like something swiped from a skateboard.

Later it turned out that the differential bearings were the problem instead. When he got it apart he found that it looks like an exact copy of a Ford 9", and he should know because he runs one in his drag car. So if you want a 9" but can't find one, look for wrecked Kias.

Default

CORRECTION: He hadn't taken it apart yet when he told me that it looks like a 9". When he got it apart he found that it isn't built like a 9", although it looks like one from the outside. It is a very strong looking piece, though.
