Default Bash 2012

It's almost May. Who is coming? When and where do we want it? Last year we talked about Land Between the Lakes, but high water in the lakes blew that out. It shouldn't be a problem this year, but if Zack, Crazy Eddie, Dan or any other built guys are coming we don't want to go to LBL. For just us stockers it would be good.

Redbird would be another possibility - TR likes that, and it's close to Tom and Dee. Still, it wouldn't be The Badlands Bash anywhere but at the Badlands.

Get a conversation going and make your preferences known.

I'm actually kind of bored with RedBird...
I have at least 3 weekends up there,
The Jeep Clinic is a LONG weekend there, and we have two other events that go long,
Plus all the day trips we do to see if this or that is going to work, or just playing hookie from work....

They HAVE opened a bunch of new trails, it's about 3 times the size it was when we were up there together, and there are a LOT more trails...

Interlake is a big yawn. Not much to see and even less to do.
And you have the 'Go Fast' guys buzzing around you all day at Interlake since it's so flat.

I'm booked for the weekend before mothers day, and Memorial weekend.
If the Ohio river is out of it's banks, I'll be loose on the weekend before mothers day.
Not much else in the calender before or after that.

Don't know if I can make it this year, but I will sure try. My crap is still the same even though I have had a new tub sitting on my trailor since last years Bash

I always like to see everyone but we seem to be getting smaller every year! Any ideas to boost the attendance.

Brad

ECONOMY is down, out of money?

Build something you can actually drive to and from instead of having a tow vehicle and trailer?

Consider actual camping instead of motor homes, motels/hotels?

Cut back on the Mocha half-caf, soy, 'grande' whatever and stash that money for a trip?

Sell off some of the 'Survival' crap and guns and do some living instead preparing for an 'Existence' when 'Mad Max' time rolls around...

Pimp your dog out and sell the puppies?

Do you REALLY need TWO KIDNEYS?

Take up a paper route in your 'spare' time?

Sell your jeep and buy a golf cart with knobby tires, pocket the difference?
(With my Jeep, I'd have to THROW IN money so that's out for me )

Get a 'Night' job as the floor mopper in an adult movie theater?

-----------------

I suggested a while back...
A ADVERTISED SWAP MEET?
Some sponsorship?
Expanding to people that DON'T hang on the forum all the time?

The Bash has always been open to all comers, even people who don't have a Jeep. I have some friends in Ohio who were there last year and want to come again and bring their local club, but they're tied up until two weeks after Memorial Day. I want to bring my granddaughter, but she can come until after Memorial Day. I'm all for boosting the attendance. Once we set a date, post it on other boards you visit.

Well, we did get off to a bad start...

But I do have my moments... Few and far between now, but once in a while...
