Default A few MC2100 ?s

Time to do some improvements / maintenance on the MC2100 (1.08 on a 258).
It has ran pretty well for the most part, but does run rich.
The jets are 49's, so I think I'll drop to 47's or 46's.
I still need to check the power valve, but don't believe it is giving me any problems.
If you leave it parked at a down / uphill angle it tends to flood a bit, so I think I may need to extend the vent tubes.
I plan on checking vacuum (Hg), fuel pressure, and idle mixture too.
Does this seem like a good course of action?

A few additional questions.
Is the gasket under the air horn suppose to cover the bottom of the vent tubes.
Also has anyone seen a vent? like the one in the picture where the arrow is and does anything need to be done to it?

old thread - slow board

What are you looking at to determine the proper A/F ratio?

If it floods on angle the float height needs adjustment.

There should be no vents covered with gaskets.

I think on that carb the vents are the two on the end of the air horn facing the front of the motor. I could tell you more if you had a 4 barrel like the 1850 or 3310 Holley's.

Yep,

Old thread.

I got it all pretty much worked out.
Still don't know what the little hole at the front does, so I just left it alone.
