Coils probably more work than I would like to do. I will more than likely do leafs. I have been working on a soa on buddys scrambler with him. I need to post some pics. I would like to find some free springs to put on mine for a nice ride instead of the old 2 1/2" s I have had on there fior years.

If you are serious about coils look at the 3 and 4 link kits from poly performance and then some brackets from some where like ballistic fab. On the cheap using poly bushings at all ends with no adjustability, using square tube links, free coils and making all your brackets you could probably do it for less than $500 but you will have lots and lots of time in it if you want it to turn out nice.

A coil over conversion does give great articulation.....BUT.....it is a LOT of work....and if you get it wrong.....things can go wrong quick.....
For the money, it's hard to beat SOA.....great articulation....and easy to do using stock Wrangler springs.......it's basically a weekend project.....whereas the coil conv is about a month or longer....unless you buy a kit at about $5K.

I guess I am just tired of the old 2 1/2" springs( rough) . I figure if I am going to do the soa I want some good riding springs. I have been reading alot thisn past week on springs. I have been in the hospital since Monday morning . Was supposed to be in less than 23 hours to take an infected plastic plate out of my skull . Any way I would like to find some junkyard springs , maybe even wrangler or whatever. I just want a good ride. My buddy bought springs for 160.00 a piece for his soa. He has more money than time , I have more time than money

I can relate to the rough springs....I went through that phase as well....
I'm running stock Wrangler springs....rides great....and they are easy to find....typically any 4WD house will have a bunch laying around that came off jeeps they lifted....and in most cases they will let you hand pick a set....I paid $80 for a set of 4.
If you think this is the way you want to go, let me know and I'll send you some detailed instructions and suggestions....it will help you avoid some of the 'gotchas' that I went through.

I will most likely go that route. I already have my springs outboarded for my waggy axle so that will save some time. I need to send a knuckle off to have it fitted with the high steer arms.

Well wouldn`t you know. My neighbor just called to check on me and I told him to be on the look out for some wrangler springs. He told me he has a complete set sitting in the barn that I am welcome to.
