Default ‘nuther multiple shooting

At first I thought they were talking about yesterday’s. This one is in Orlando, FL. Not much information yet. Guy was dismissed from company over “performance issues” TWO YEARS AGO. Came back started shooting people on two floors of the office building.

Don’t know where he is. May be on the loose, may still be in building. People in offices with doors barricaded.

Growing up, when someone had a beef with somebody one of them usually got hit in the nose. Now they go for weapons, usually a gun. Life doesn't seem to have a lot of value to some people these days.

Desensitization to violence. Video games, toys, television, movies and lack of parenting.

I also hate Bluetooth. You used to be able to tell the crazy people when they walked the streets talking to themselves. Now they stick a headset in their ear and you don’t know.

I have taz on ignore, but he's probably talking about the Fla. shooting...

Anyway, I agree Tom,
I'm a 'Hillbilly', and we know when we said something wrong or did something stupid when we have a bloody mouth or nose!

I'm a FIRM believer that everyone needs a butt whoopin' every once in a while just to keep them honest!
And I'm famous for 'Corporal Punishment' when someone screws up or says something stupid...
But I don't use weapons, guns, ect.

An 'Attitude Adjustment' is one thing,
but killing someone over something trivial is something I never want to do...

What amazes me is how easily people will take a life today.
They talk about TV and Video Games or Movies making them think it's OK, or 'De-Sensitizing' them to killing or serious injury, and I wonder if there is something to it...

I also wonder if there is something in the food supply,
Like the growth hormones they give cattle, pigs & chickens are causing problems when transfered to humans during consumption.
Ethnic groups that don't use hormones in the meat don't have these problems,
Amish, Kosher Jews, ect. don't have these problems with their kids...

I don't know what IS causing it,
But I travel with a Pistol in the car/Jeep/truck now, and I never used to do that...

These are stress related acts. The back story is always some form of revisionist history construct. The spin doctors will swoop in with opinions from psychologists and whatnot and nitpick everything to show that this guy was just a time bomb waiting to happen.

I'm sorry ..but we're all time bombs waiting to happen. What differs is our ability to compensate for our environment. "Decompensating" is the term for the inability to cope.

Road Rage is NOT an anomaly. It's people being subjected to stress that they can not endure.

If you want to see totally rational "decompensation" see the movie Falling Down. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the character that Michael Douglas portrayed.

We had a guy take his kids out of the Christian school that they were attending and entered into a siege situation with the police and whatnot. He ended up killing his children and himself. His wife had divorced him shortly after Boyertown Auto-body had closed its doors.

The essentials were that this guy was normal enough to marry, have children with ..had friends ..neighbors ...regarded as a nice guy. He loses his living ..when the money gets tight his witch leaves him and hammers him for every dime her bitter witch self can manage. He then gets a lay off notice from his new job ..and she bitterly hammers him more.

He cracks. Then the spin doctors come in and make it look like a perfectly civil and "nice guy" ..just woke up one day and decided to kill his children and himself.

...or rather place all of the entire burden for the incident upon an otherwise normal person by destroying his character and depicting him as a lunatic for all of his life. It's a recurring theme. We appear to need a "just world" view of things. It could never be the environment that the person was subjected to. Any intolerable condition should be tolerable.

What a crock.

UZI sub gun...
Fine close combat weapon, but heavy and not much use for anything but killing humans.

That is the point,
I have 'Hunting' rifles, 'Target' rifles, but I don't have any 'Man Killing' rifles.

I really don't have any interest at all in pistols outside of a security accessory for the vehicles...
(Which used to be a tire 'billy' until recently)

We were rammed from behind by a truck driver a little while back,
Hit us once, then when we tried to pull off the road about 3/4 mile away, he swerved over and hit us again.
When the police stopped him,
He said it was because we were in his way while he was trying to get home...
(we were running almost 65 in a 55 zone)

Totaled the car, screwed up my girlfriend's neck/back just because we weren't speeding fast enough for him...

And the guy was in his early 50's, so it wasn't some stupid kid thing going on...

Sure wish I'd had my pistol that day, because he chased us 80+ miles an hour for another 2 or 3 miles into the next town of any size and I though his truck might have been faster than our little car with 300K on the clock!

Anyway, I don't understand what's happening to the general population...
Used to be, when you lost a job, you went and got another job...
What ever it took to stay in 'Beans & Jeans'...

Now people take it out on EVERYONE when they get fired!
Blame everyone but themselves when they screw up,
Sue everything and everyone when they stub their toes...

I don't know what the deal is with people, but I'm glad we are almost done with the place out of town where you can fart and the neighbors don't smell it,
And everyone you meet on the county roads waves!

The problem is, there is no 'Land' anymore,
Everything around here is 'Real Estate' and some idiot buys up a farm...
That was next to a hog or turkey farm,
Subdivides it, moves in a bunch of city people too dumb to know that the 'Country' stinks...
And then THEY throw a fit about the smell from the fertilizer, livestock, ect.

Their damn kids tear down fences, set barns on fire, spray graffiti all over the place, drive through crops, tear things up & leave trash all over the place...

Then when you say something to the parents,
It's YOUR FAULT for not building 15 Foot Chain Link, electrified fences and posting security guards every 20 yards around the property!

(I just leave my rifle targets hang on the fence posts, and let their imaginations do the rest!
That usually detours any of the little morons!)

I just don't know how people live in cities, or even big towns... They must be MUCH stronger than me! I couldn't take it, they would have to medicate the crap out of me to keep me in cities...

Actually, that might explain the sales of 'Anti-Depressants', people trying to live in cities would drive me to drink and drugs!

Say what you want about religion, but I think the Apostle Paul said it well:
Quote:
2nd Timothy 3:1-4

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
I think that about hits it on the head....

Well Leve, they were like that back then as well!

Cash, Houses, Cars and Trophy Wives don't listen when you talk to them. If that is what I am, and if I don't have it, or can't get it, who am I? And who's fault is it if I don't know what personal responsibility/accountability is?
