Mopar FI help on a CJ7 w/4.2 - Off-Road Forums & Discussion Groups

Ok I got the jeep started to get it on a trailer when we moved. Now it won't start. I checked all my connections. When I turned the key, there is no fuel pump priming sound. Seems to be no power going to the pump. The computer is not showing any error codes. Any suggestions on what to test next? Possible cause? Should I try to jump power to the pump to test it?

How long did it sit? There could be corrosion building up in some of the electrical sockets. That's where I'd look first. Is there any voltage gettng to the coil in "RUN" mode?

I'll check the coil and all the connections again tomorrow. Not just to make sure there tight.

Had the same thing on my MFI, never did figure it out. Are you getting a check engine light (CEL) when you turn the key? If CEL then check the pump relay (cables going to pump) at start. If No CEL, pull the computer connector and check power #3 befiore key is turned, 9 after (Check there are cables there, I am going of a 95, and you have a 94 and it was a couple months ago I tacled this.

Anyway, keep this, it is handy..
