I put a TJ booster in my Scrambler, and it completely rocks. It was a little bit of work, but I had the booster already, and we managed to graft the CJ Manual MC onto it with little issue (and LOTS of black RTV).

6 months later, it still works great.

Default Update

Got the power brake setup from a donor CJ7 installed without any problems.

The issues came after the installation -

The 9" air cleaner on my 2150 is too big.
(Working to replace it with a modified donor from a 90 Cadillac - I'll post pics)
My factory throttle bracket is too big.
(Mocking up a new one on the AM)
Can't bleed right front brake - believe it's a bad caliper.
(Pull and replace)
Brake switch is too short.
(Can't get my hands in there as-is - need to figure out just how much stuff I need to remove to get at it)

I don't understand the switch being a problem. The pedal should go back to the stop where it always did. If it isn't going to the stop you may have another problem.

There must be a difference in actuator arm length of the manual master cylinder and of the power booster w/bracket - thinking the power booster setup is about 1/8 -1/4 inch shorter. There also seems to be two mounting holes for the switch.
Ultimately I know the answer is to lengthen the switch a bit. No big deal. It's just getting my hands in there to do that's the problem.

Default Update w/Pics

Got everything together and working.

Fixed my brake light switch by cutting a short piece of 3/8 inch hose, flattening it and sliding it over the bracket arm. Works great.

Brakes aren't as snappy as I thought they would be - not mushy, though.

Had the Brake Warning Light come on the dash and stayed on for a while until I braked enough times for the brakes to adjust themselves (I guess).

Next I had to modify my throttle bracket and air cleaner assembly. Pics and descriptions below.

The Power Booster crowded everything.

The throttle bracket I was using would no longer fit.

Original bracket and the modified bracket.

The modified bracket installed. Using the kickdown linkage point to attach the throttle cable since it gave a better line. I need to tie these together.

The cleaner I'll be using is from a 1990 Cadillac. The connector is on upside down.

Two things that presented problems - the emissions connectors and the air assembly bridge. Solution was to remove the connectors and swap ends on the bridge so it would turn towards the front of the Jeep when installed.

Mock up installation. Everything fits good.

Dipstick needed to be persuaded out of the way. I'll add a brace from the valve cover to the bottom of the cleaner for support. Still need to fill the holes from the removed connectors.

Not far from being finished now.
