Default quick help needed on CJ8 to sand rail conversion

Im almost done with rebuilding my frame on my CJ8, but my tub is too far gon to fix. A full Fiberglass tub will run $2000. But I just found a 4 seat fully welded sandrail cage for $250. What do you think about putting that on the cj8 frame?
Thanks

I pulled some pics up from the net and Im not sure that I would like the look of it. I was tinking about using the jeep grill and making it look like a jeep tube buggy, I think however that it may take the "jeep" out of the jeep...
I still ahvnt ruled it out though...please chime in

Some say that a Jeep is like chocolate milk; if there's any amount of chocolate in the milk, it's chocolate milk. I wouldn't worry about whether people will still call it a Jeep. If that's what you want to build, then build it.

It's sad to seen an old Scrambler go away, but rust is what happens to them, and they get to a point where there just isn't enough left to bring back. Part out the tailgate and glove box door and move on.

I've seen what happens when people try to morph a sand rail onto a frame. If you really want to make the leap, spend the $250 on tube and build your own from scratch.

For what it's worth, you can have a straight, rust free trailer rig that will still clean up good. You're getting the frame and driveline figured out. A rust free CJ8 will only appreciate in value unless you really don't want to consider it.
