Yeah, I would like that! Now that I have a noticeable amount of history behind me it's becoming more interesting. I have an uncle who repaired landing craft on an island in the New Hebrides for three years during the war. He has some great stories, a few of which I transcribed.

WW II vets LITERALLY saved the world!
No matter what anyone else thinks, they kept us from speaking German or Japanese!
Then they came home and built this country into the greatest in the history of the world!
You will NEVER hear me say one bad thing about the guys that came home (or in a bunch of cases, didn't come home) from WW II!
