Manifold vacuum at idle (approx 500 rpm) was 11

At 1200 rpm it was 21

Pretty steady. It'll jump a pound irregularly.

Default Update

Well, it wasn't the carb alone causing my problems.

The solenoid was acting up - I could attach a power wire to the ignition side and it would cause the motor to strain. Replaced it.

Got my MSD 6A in and installed it. Got the motor to run.

I'm now idling at 550 - pulling 19lbs vac. Very steady. Still running a little rich. A little hesitation on acceleration.

New carb should be here in a day or two - hope that finishes things up.

Any suggestions for timing with the MSD? Right now I'm at 8 BTC @ 1600 rpm.
