I'll add this..........personal experience only.

Yes turning sucks, but it can be helped by adding a hydro boost pump and a external tranny cooler inline on the return side to keep from killing pumps on a weekly basis.

(being locked solid in the front is hard on pumps especially if your running any sort of diameter and tire like boggers)

well guys got her welded on saturday and i love it. got 8 inches of rain so i really got to test her out in the rice field and a shallow pond. turning in the soft mud aint too bad, better than what i expected. went through mud that i would have hesitated befor entering normally and had no problems. dont know the number of miles cause my spedo cable broke, but i went through a good 40 gallons gas. gave the welds a really good testing and i dogged on her pretty hard. i actually had a 1 ton chevy with 37 boggers leading me through the pond and he burried it and i just drove around him. lovin the weight difference

When I first put lockers in my Jeep I felt like you do now. Once I decided that the Jeep couldn't be stopped, I really started getting stuck bad and pretty often. Be sure you have a good tow strap and a buddy to pull you out. In the meantime, enjoy it! The difference is awesome.

Ditto! Lockers will get you into the places spectacular "stucks", flops, & carnage are made of...

Sounds like you already know the bad stuff. So weld it up and enjoy better traction. I have ran my last few D30's that way. The worst part was the turning radius, it seemed to double. The next biggest issue was using 4wd on the street in the winter, locking only one hub with big HP make it pull to one side. If all your in is mud and sand it should be fine.
