Since I'm at least the second owner and don't know where it was purchased or when, I doubt that they'd be willing to replace it. And if I had a brand new one I wouldn't go to the trouble of installing it anyway.

Doing Kerry's front yesterday...
Had choclate milkshake running out of the housing for a while,
Then it was time to clean out the crap,
Then when I did inspection, turned out the center pin was shot, time for one of the 'Super Pins'....

You are going to love this!
3 broken off cover bolts, so the PO stacked up gaskets until his bolts would catch the two or three threads that were left!

Got those out,
Then turned attention to the center pin and thrust washers,
And after Jim_Lou's post, I had a REAL close look at wear patterns,
Ordered the 'Super Pin', took the pinion out so we could change pinion seals,
Removed 3 broken off cover bolts,
And put the bearings caps back on the correct sides...

So now we are about ready to check wheel bearings/hubs/lockouts and get the front axle done...

ALL NEW BRAKE PARTS, including lines for the rear,
Serviced the rear differential (good shape),
And danced through transmission and transfer case... All smiles with trans and T-case!

Changed engine oil, Fresh filter,
Fresh fuel filter,
Added power steering fluid so it would kill more weeds in my driveway cracks

Rear main seal leaking like a sieve, but he doesn't want me to go after that yet...
--------------------------------------

We have about got him trail worthy again!

Remember, the Monday before Thanksgiving he was hit from behind and had his neck broke, skull fractured and nearly died from blood loss!

NO WINTER SERVICE OF ANY KIND!

We've already been out to thrash this Jeep of his a couple of times since he's been out of the 'Halo'...
But now he's finally able to work on it, so it's getting a 'Maintenance' week thrown at it,
And he's learning a BUNCH about what will, and what won't work, and how to do his own work on his Jeep!

He doesn't KSS yet, but he's a quick study, and with his welding skills, he can fix about anything I can't!
