What chip, most people don't/can't handle reality nowadays, everything has to be "PC" or "SUGAR COATED" or "FEELINGS" get hurt. I'm with the other guy, don't care what other people think, if they want to stand in the middle of the street and get run down by that fast moving Chevy, so be it. I ain't got time for it, just the facts mam. I'll get back to ya on the reloading site TR, sounds interesting.

Mike

All those postings and NO ANSWERS!
Something just isn't right about that!

The 'Grandkids' answered some correctly,
Then Jeep Chick came so close she should have been able to feel the answer on her face about livestock...

Anyway,
I don't care if people think I'm 'Extreme' or 'Rude' or 'Non-Politically/Religiously "Correct"'...

Right is right, wrong is wrong, and three lefts makes a right!

I see all these guys 'Talk' about wheeling,
but I didn't see any of them show up for 'Cleanup Weekend' at RedBird.

I didn't see any of them show up for 'Cleanup Weekend' at Interlake,

I don't see any of them at either place and we are at one or the other about (or Haspin, or Harlin, Ky. or the Ohio River Run, or the Devils Backbone Run, ect.)

The 'Bash' is OK, but I'd like to see more of the actual "Off Road" types at more of the parks, or even come with us to private lands for these Invitation events...
They are a REAL BLAST!

Anyway, Remember, if you see a 'Jeep' with a 'Halo' mounted to the hood (as in rig they use when you break your neck to immobilize you so it can heal!)

If you see the 'Halo', that would be US behind that Jeep with heads in the chili pot and beer cooler!

COME ON OUT AND JOIN US!

Could it be we posers don't like to be around 'Extreme' or 'Rude' or 'Non-Politically/Religiously "Correct"' people ? Just something to ponder.

Since this is going to live on....Yay Sweetpea! This site has almost been hijacked by.....well I'm not sure how to describe folks like TR. I have big shoulders so I have tried to to get some to insult me as a diversion from the things directed at our female members, but noooo! If some of the cleanup stuff was posted more than 2 min ahead of time I would gladly attend to do my part; and to verify my belief that the online personna has to be different than what it appears to be. No one can act like what I've seen online and have anyone associate with them. Suppose thats why some members that are close by never attend the bash? Dan

I don't consider myself a "bad" person, just "indifferent, passionate about my work" to all the naysayers that live in "normal" cities and towns, come live in Wash, DC and then speak what you speak now. Big shoulders wouldn't last 2 days up here, I've all but turned into a recluse to get away from the madness, if I had nooooo grandchildren and they didn't need me, I'd be gone. I have no "issues" except with incorrect information spread by the internet, thats why I read books, hard print, and revisions of books. When I went on my road trip, drove approx 2,500 miles, met people I never new, was floored by the appreciation and respect I recieved from them. You would never receive that treatment around here. In Tennessee you can't ride down the street anywhere without everyone waving, whether they drove a jeep or not, in the stores, nice friendly, talkative people, helpful, just incredible. Soooooo throw them stones at me, but then again, I've had tons of people tell others, you just don't know the man, there is one among us that I met and I will say they are on the top ten of my list of the nicest people I've ever met. Soooo don't condemn until you have a chance to do a face to face.

Everyone has their own idea about what 'Off Roading' is,
And what it means to be a 'Real OffRoader'...
------------------------------------------
SO!
Attending the 'BASH' is a valid substitute for actually knowing what you are talking about?

Glad you cleared that up for us! I didn't know what the 'Official Description' was for an 'Off Roader'...

Guess I'm NOT ONE by your definition!

So the drunken frat monkeys that show up in daddy's 'Commander' or 'Liberty' for the 'Bash' are 'Real Off Roaders' by your standards?
That's good to know,
Maybe I'll show up in a giant RV towing a trailer, and get in the 'Old' air conditioned JK and show up long enough to get my Tee Shirt one day!

------------------------------------------

And if the bash were closer, I might attend.

I like RedBird better since our family farm shop is about 10 miles down the road and I live about 40 minutes away...

Now, If I were into 'MotorHome' camping,
Trailering my vehicle,
Only getting out once a year or so,
Then the 'Bash' might be my objective.

Since I have OPTIONS during the 'Bash' weekend,
And since you all seem bent on having the bash at the most inconvenient time for me, it's not likely I'll attend anytime soon.

HOWEVER...
I do make RedBird, both when 'Members' are there,
And when they ARE NOT there...

I make INTERLAKE, and I've NEVER seen or read about any 'Members' being there yet...

I do things like the Devils Backbone run and the Ohio River Spring Fun Run every year, and I don't see 'Members' there...

On the few occasions we go to Haspin I don't see any MEMBERS there,
Same with Harlan County Ky. when we go,

And I ALWAYS ANNOUNCE when we are going, where we'll be, and even what we drive so 'Members' can pick us out of a crowd....

Seems I've made offers to taz and dale to meet me places outside of 'Group Outings' and both of them declined...

If you don't Meet Me In Person, it's because YOU aren't going on any of the same parks, trails, ect. we are...

Funny, I've never seen ANY of you at a cleanup run for ANY of the parks!...

If you decide to 'Go Native' sometime,
Get out of the motorhome and actually take a NON-Road trip, you should maybe come down and try about 40 or 50 miles of Ohio river banks, nothing like fording creeks, climbing rock ridges, getting into mud pits with no bottoms, traversing brides made of trees that we cut...

That is FUN Stuff, but you WILL HAVE TO WORK TOGETHER on the overnight runs...
And PRIMITIVE CAMPING is always a blast once you get away from the street lights and bug zappers and such!

Some of the guys here will remember I offered to let people camp at my family farm, and it even has electricity,
But they couldn't do without running water, TV's and Air Conditioning!

If you just come to the parks, then you can go back to the hotel A/C and Satellite TV after you have made your appearance...

Which mechanical patent has raked in the most money down through the years?

What color cloths are most likely to get you mosquito bit?

What Fish is ALWAYS hungry?
The patent is a zipper.

Color? Dunno. I only know these things scent CO2. And hate vitamine B.

Fish is a shark, I thought.

Can I come over some time for some diving?

Or wheeling?

Or just looking at your stuff?
