Loose Tilt Steering column. The steering column was floppy on the top half (In cab) when it was running, disassembled down to 4 e-socket/head bolts. Used Article: Asylum | Men's Lifestyle | Humor, weird news, sex tips, fashion, dating, food and gadgets States only 2 are accessible. Even states most mechanics are content with 2, however was able to get all 4.
For the rear frame repair (post soon: tonight?) my friend Lee and I made a single patch for each rail.

I have a buddy who owns a body shop and swears by the panel adhesives, so much so that he gave me his panel spotter; doesn't use it any more. They tested adhesives and spot welds between two pieces of sheet and then pulled them apart with the frame machine, and the spots gave up every time. The cllinker will be that most panel joints in a Jeep have only about a 1/2" mating surface. I don't know if that will be enough area for the adhesives, but I'm guiessing that it will.
While you're waiting to get around to the tub, think about how you're going to get it back together in the proper alignment. You'll have to take lots of corner-to-corner measurements for starters. The good thing is that the stock tubs weren't exactly precision assemblies, so you might be able to do even better than factory, not that it really matters. Only critical condition is making a hard top fit. Mine doesn't.

She may be a bit stiff! Hard to get out all the rust before welding, maybe a little Phosphoric Acid (H3PO4) would have been wise... 102_0441_00.jpg 102_0444.jpg 102_0605.jpg |
