| | rec more parts for scrambler and have question on another mod on turn signals
ok getting all the pcs parts together to complete rear disk axles full floater. here are some more parts i just got in mail. there are a adj brake pres kit to adj front to rear barkes and a quick set valve for setting all four or just two disk brakes by pushing down on round stock after pushing end brake pedal to set brake system this is going to be added as well as the e brake on the cad rear calapiers. also have these rear brake hoses coming, should work for the cad calipers.. now my question on the mod of turn signal on cj8 lever.... i have chevy sb motor and i want to install gm style turn signal with curise control on the turn lever,, but i like the steering wheel set up i have now, do not want to change it, i want to pick up a full curise to work with the 1985 chevy motor so do you think i can somehow mod the oem lever and this new style together and wire up to the jeep wipers and then to the curise unit .... ideas please feedback thanks

Your Scrambler left the factory with a GM steering column, so any GM parts of about that age will fit right in. Someone on here probably knows what years GM used that basic column, but it was for quite a while.

well thats what i was thinking that my jeep is 1981 and i should be able to retro fit early 80,s up too ???? not sure but just looking at how the turn lever of the 81 jeep bolts on and the 1985 gm chevy lever kinda plugs in was not sure. if anyone knows more on this and can give me a little more info thanks was even thinking about cutting the end of my lever and adding a small coupler to the plug end of the newer unit and running wire down and inside rest of housing but if the insides of a newer gm unit would fit inside mine all the better....

Which hoses are these? I assume these are for your front. The hoses you want for the rear are much shorter and do not have the clip in the middle.

yes i had to bend the metal stem coming out of the cad calipers just a little to clear but i am going to spot weld the middle bracket to the axle housing as it runs back toward the middle and just use shorter hard lines to fit, all the threads fit fine thanks. sometimes you just have to mod things up a little to get all these parts to work toghter but thats part of the fun doing somthing like this, making it work thanks

Neat idea. I don't think I would weld the middle bracket to the axle housing though, you may want to remove it on the trail. It would be neat if you could run these same hoses in the front that way one spare would cover all your hoses other then center one in the rear. The only disadvantage I see is lots of length of hose in the system which will stretch more then steel line and require slightly more fluid to activate the brakes, this may not be a big deal though.
I think I will still go with the shorter hoses I plan to run the short hose to from the caliper to the axle at all corners and then run the same center hose in the front as the rear.
