 VW Diesel swap?
In the '79 DJs (postal Jeeps based on CJ5) they came with 2.0L VW/Audi motors. From what I know, it should work for a swap to put a VW diesel into a CJ with the trans and motor mount crossbar from the DJ. I bought one with plans to do that, but my wife HATES the Ice Cream truck!      |

Much less, my 1.9 TDI is a pretty light motor by comparison.

JEEPN WHERE YOU BEEN?? I thought something happened to you as in bad...... Welcome back!! As for the diesel,,,, Would LOVE to have one in my 68

Why is it when I already have WAAAAY too much to do, I find just one more project? I found the parts VW diesel today for $300 (blown clutch but still barely moving)
