Default AMSOIL Products: Has anyone used them?

Hello, I would like to know if anyone has used AMSOIL Gear Oil for their Manual Transmision. If so, do you like it and which product of theirs did you use. I have a 1999 Wrangler with a Manual Transmision. The Owners Manual says to use a GL-5 Gear Oil and I have a Repair Manual that says to use a GL-3. Which AMSOIL Gear Oil is supposed to be used in our Transmisions?

Thanks.

It is gl3, When I used Amisol it was something 90 but I can't remember. It was hard to get around here at that time so I switched to syncromesh. It ie alot easier to get here than either Amisol or GL3. Check with your Amisol dealer and don't let them talk you into anything but Gl3 equivelent.

Many books and even the FSM was written with GL5 in it but it is incorrect and will eat your syncro rings.

The Dealer says that GL-3 has been retired. He's wanting me to use Synthetic Manual Transmission and Transaxle Gear Lube 75W-90 API GL-4 (MTG). Here is the link: AMSOIL - Synthetic Manual Transmission and Transaxle Gear Lube 75W-90 (MTG)

He is right about GL 3 being retired although there is one company that still has it out, I think it was autozone. I switched to the syncromesh cause I can buy it anywhere and it was one of the recomended lubes by the group that brought the problem to my attention.

Looks promising and I have heard of people using GL4 fluid in place of Gl3. If the dealer is recomending it I say go for it but i would cross refrence that crysler number that Amisol mentions just to double check.
